Was not a conscious decision to have it in the background, it just is.
. . . a serious decision. Could be an exit strategy. 😃 Also wearing an Omega, but an eighty year old ref MI 2214. This is an old pic . . . will have a fresh image up tomorrow. Art
I just adore that dial!
. . . but . I was about to pop for a Sedna before coming to grips with how often I'd be able to wear it. That's gotta be a factor to consider: how often would you get to wear a precious metal Speedy? Especially considering the line of work you're in, working with your hands. Not to mention your other hobbies, like working on trucks and target practice.
I'm generally not into precious metals, I just adore this dial. Perhaps there are some other similar older models I could hunt. Also, is the essence of an Omega Speedmaster at all related to a precious metal? You have a steel one, and it seems you are all set. But kudos to Omega for releasing a different version that is nothing I need, or want to spend for, yet it stays stuck in my mind!
. . . in the '90s to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of CK2915? Look for ref 3593.20. Steel, probably a third the cost of Canopus. Art
