Amanico shares his evolving impressions of the Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project, a watch that initially disappointed him in person but has since grown on him. His post, accompanied by detailed photographs, invites the Speedmaster community to weigh in on this distinctive reference, particularly its unique white dial and red outer casing. This offers a fresh perspective from a self-proclaimed 'non-Speedie Lover.'

I always had mixed feelings on this Watch.

When I saw the official pictures, I fell in love with it.

When I saw it in the real, I was disappointed.

Well, it was some 3 ( 4?  ) years ago...

I had the opportunity to see it again, today, and I must say that I slightly changed my mind.

I find it rather cool, with its original white dial, and this huge red ring.

The strap is a plus, super comfortable, and, well, if you get tired of it, you have the possibility to mount the bracelet.

Here are the pictures I took today:

What do you think?

I must say that my relative enthusiasm is due to the fact that I am far from being a Speedie Lover, and that  my knowledge on this legendary Watch is close to zero.

But you, fans, what do you think?

Heresy or cool?

Best,

Nicolas

thanks for sharing. I never knew they made a watch like this. I can totally see myself wearing this down the slopes of Whistler =P

Some two or three years ago, I was offered the mighty original, and I took too much time giving my answer. I would have loved to get it! Very " dΓ©calΓ© ", indeed, compared to the image we have of the Speedmaster. Thanks for your answer! Best, Nicolas

like the almost solid white on the face and band here, or the reds and yellows of the Schumachers, great things often follow. I love this one, and the strap adds a great dimension.
