Nicolas (amanico) shares an intimate look at his "Red Nugget," the ultra-rare Omega vintage Speedmaster Alaska Project. This piece explores why this particular reference holds such a significant place in his collection, transcending the often-overused term "grail" to represent a truly exceptional horological dream. His post offers a rare glimpse into a watch with only a handful of existing pieces, making its story particularly compelling for collectors.

enjoy my friend,I envy you ,just a little
and a relief, for a moment I was imagining plans to steal that speedy from you !Now I have to change the entire plan
So seldom that maybe a real dream...
but the reissue that I was able to try on at a retailer pre-pandemic was not bad.
. . . or were any of the handful now in private hands retailed? Art
I own the Alaska project from 2008. The thing I don't get is why every other limited edition has exploded in price but this one keeps sitting at 10-13k. Even TinTins are going for 16k.
