Dr No's initial impressions of the latest manual-winding Omega Speedmaster '57 models offer a compelling look at Omega's refreshed chronograph. This article synthesizes community insights on the design, movement, and wearability of these new Speedmaster '57 references.

But, I really want to see the black sandwich dial!
. . . to see one in the metal. Convinced, Art
The Metas 9906 movement fills up the 40.5mm case nicely. What surprised me was that the colored dials are getting more enquiries which reflects current fashion. Among them, the burgundy dial does look attractive. Only the black dial is sandwich and my choice for a venerable classic.
Btw, were you able to get a feel for how they wind? If yes how was it?
They certainly look good and the bracelet is very comfortable (I believe it is the same as on your Ed White). Attention however on the lug design : similar to the Seamaster 300 these are pretty straight and do not hug the wrist!
Not crazy about the date window; on this or any Speedy. Still, very sharp.
