Team,

That is a watch that one can only appreciate "in metal".

Saw pictures of it, saw one on a glass stand in Bienne and it didn't look that nice.

In metal, everything changes.

First, the Moon! Magic. Notice Buzz Aldrin footprint. Cool!

Buzz Aldrin, live on stage, during the recent London event.

Fresh pictures from this morning.

Balance, aesthetics, cool to the extreme.

B&W, just for tradition.

Lume shot:

This Speedmaster is powered by the Omega 9904 (with quick set date and Moon phase) that's also METAS (Master Chronometer) certified.

I saw this certification "live" and I'm still impressed with the entire process.

Here's the test results from this particular watch, gathered from the Omega My Omega site:

Type of test Results Test limits
FUNCTION OF COSC-APPROVED MOVEMENT DURING EXPOSURE TO 15,000 GAUSS (1.5 Tesla) MAGNETIC FIELD passed 15,000 gauss
FUNCTION OF WATCH DURING EXPOSURE TO 15,000 GAUSS MAGNETIC FIELD passed 15,000 gauss
DEVIATION OF DAILY CHRONOMETRIC PRECISION AFTER EXPOSURE TO 15,000 GAUSS 0,9 sec / day 0 to 5 sec/day
AVERAGE DAILY CHRONOMETRIC PRECISION OF THE WATCH 2,5 sec / day 0 to 5 sec/day
POWER RESERVE passed 60 hours
DEVIATION OF CHRONOMETRIC PRECISION IN SIX POSITIONS 3,7 sec / day 0 to 12 sec/day
DEVIATION OF CHRONOMETRIC PRECISION BETWEEN 100% and 33% OF POWER RESERVE 0,8 sec / day 0 to 8 sec/day
WATER RESISTANCE passed 10 bar (100 m/330 ft)

Note: 15,000 Gauss=1.5 Tesla. (Most installed clinical MRI scanners are built around a 1.5 Tesla (T) magnet)

Thanks for seeing.

Cheers,

Nilo

And seriously thinking of getting one soon. Do you know the depth of it ? Coming from Deep Sea / Hublot territory I'm keen to know - obviously it's thinner but if you have a measurement would be great.

... the foot print detail is a delicious and charming touch! You know... Iยดm waiting for mine since some months now... already paid! Ufff!! In my land things do not work so fast or smoothly as it should be! Lol! But my AD never failed me! so ... I need to be patient! Viewing your pictures adds fuel to my anxiety and desire! A wonderful watch! Thanks for sharing my friend! All the best, Abel.

At first I hesitated because I'm suspecting a ceramic case will appear with this dial. Then, my "boss" said we should buy watch when we travel to Switzerland, right? So I took the plunge and is still glad I did. Great picture, as always, Nilo. Thank you. Rgds Raymond
