Nicolas (amanico) recently encountered the intriguing Omega Speedmaster 'Teutonic' in person, a reference often seen in pictures but rarely in the metal. His post invites the community to share their perspectives on this distinctive Speedmaster, which represents a unique design chapter in Omega's history. This article synthesizes the community's insights, offering a deeper look into the watch's characteristics and collector appeal.

I saw it a few times on pictures, never in the real.

What do you think of this one?

Not really my taste, but it is always interesting to see a watch you never saw before.

Best,

Nicolas

Prefer Soccer Timer style period to this but there is a stylistic connection to the AT Golf.

is Omega Speedmaster Teutonic , Cal 861 this watch is manual winding, very nice, Unfortunately, the most common problem with this model was that the numbers on its bezel faded

Don't like too thick watches in general. Now that I've realized that I can live dateless watches my horizons have broaden

first option would be to find a new one, second option would be to remove the bezel and finish cleaning it with a mild solvent, and sandblast it with very soft cal 220 aluminum oxide because it looks like it has a sandblast-type finish, redraw the numbers and punch it again in serigraphy

. . . mainly in Germany. I'm partial to cushion case Speedies, particularly the Mk II, and wouldn't mind latching onto a Mk V under the right circumstances. I've seen several in the metal, and tried one on once. The version in your photo is the one to have, imho. Art
