In a captivating post from March 2022, sebks shares his firsthand account of the frenzied launch day for the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch in Zürich. His detailed narrative and accompanying photos offer a unique glimpse into the palpable excitement and logistical challenges surrounding this unprecedented collaboration. sebks's perspective is invaluable for understanding the initial collector sentiment and the immediate market impact of this highly anticipated release.

Did not sleep well, woke up at 3am and decided to try the MoonSwatch experience: arrived in front of the shop at 3h30

I expected to be the only crazy guy in Zürich to arrive so early but 10 persons were already there.

By 5am we were 100, 200 at 6am and probably 200 at 7am.

At 8am the queue was all around the block with >300 persons.

Huge mess, no security, no line, queue jumpers everywhere.

I finally got mine, hesitated a lot between Moom and Mercury but ultimately went with the moon.

I absolutely love it: it’s a toy, but a toy with so many nods to the real piece that you see they put a lot of thinking into it. It’s a collector’s piece, I see it almost like a physical NFT. It’s for sure no Moonwatch, but it compliments it more than it devalues it.

Super happy with my mission to the moon wink

Actually everywhere in Italy. How many flippers? I've no longer the age to queue for anything but to board on a plane. Let's see if Swatch really wants to boycott flippers and act properly selling quickly online. The feature just needs to be activated, let's hope it be soon. How would you describe the bioceramic now that you can handle it? Does is it feel plastic-ish or do you fell that's a real composite made of 2/3 of zirconium dioxide? Thank you

I agree, a toy, but a respectable toy in homage of the actual moon watch. I really like this, but I will wait until it can be purchased online. 😁 I am leaning towards Earth and Neptune.

So registers are not positioned in the same way as the mechanical movement

No disrespect but I don't understand the hype. I need to go back to my own planet, I don't understand Earth.

And I absolutely dislike this market development. Best Thomas P.S.: No disrespect, too, of course.
