Amanico shares a rare glimpse of the Panerai Ref. 6154, affectionately known as the 'Small Egiziano,' a vintage grail watch. His post captures the watch's unique character through personal anecdotes and detailed observations, emphasizing its historical significance and distinctive design elements.
Pictures I took when I met it on its owner in Klagenfurt ( Austria ) in 2008, in a small bus driving us to a stadium ( ! )
Sent to me by its owner ( Ralf, thank you! )
And one, very nice, to be credited to our friend Auro.
I have a few watches I can call Grail, and this one belongs to this category.
To me, with the Mare Nostrum Proto, this is one of the most beautiful Vintage Panerai.
The absence of crownguards contributes to the purity of the big 47 mm case, this caramel dial is to die for, the hands are splendid, and the Watch has such a character!
If only Panerai had the good idea to re edit it...
Best,
Nicolas
...incredible watch, so rare, so charming, so radioactive. here on the owner wrist thanks Nicolas, great pictures. best
...but it wasn't this one, sadly. it's funny just a couple of days ago i was watching the almighty Panerai book by Loris & Luciano, masterpiece, actually....and my "Panerite" is stil lgrowing in me. it's a difficult world. regards
PAM 622 - LE (60 pieces) tribute to Paneristi Russia
... I also wish Panerai would reissue it (in a no limited edition) and with a caramel dial. They already have the case with the Russian LE, or the MM series I guess... Beautiful pictures as usual! Have a nice week dear Nicolas! Un abrazo! Abel
... This brand. But I have to agree, the older more vintage pieces are simply fantastic. One of my buddy's has a "fiddy" and he wears it like a daily beater. I love that! Best, my friend. - Scott
622 is 47mm 1940 Radiomir case; while 587MM has modified 372 case???
