In a surprising turn for a seasoned collector, blau shares a personal revelation about the 44mm Panerai, a size he long dismissed as too large. His experience challenges common perceptions about watch dimensions and comfort, particularly with the brand's distinctive aesthetic. This article explores how a matte finish and titanium construction can transform a collector's long-held biases, making a previously unthinkable watch a new favorite.

After how many years of being a watch enthusiast, and that many years of thinking 44mm Panerai are too big for my wrist (and taste), I went and bought one, and learned... it works!

All matte certainly helps it not feel like "too much" for me, but even more important is titanium lightness. What was holding me back all these years? This thing is great!

Looks amazing!

I had the same feelings about Panerai in general...I just thought and assumed they were too big. Then I finally got one a couple months ago and love it. And on top of that, the size works just fine, something different from time to time. Congrats!
