MTR's post sparked a lively debate among collectors by showcasing a Panerai perpetual calendar, a complication not traditionally associated with the brand's core identity. His initial surprise and subsequent reflections on Panerai's evolving strategy resonate with long-time enthusiasts grappling with the brand's direction. This discussion explores whether such complications align with Panerai's heritage or represent a necessary, albeit controversial, step towards new markets.
A Panerai perpetual calendar. I was pretty surprised …
What is your opinion?
I think I know Sergio's opinion… LOLLLLLL

I would like to see this watch live out of interest, but I am definitely not a potential buyer.
however the shade of green is gorgeous
Even if they would find a better design for the day and date window (for example the gap between day and date seems too big!) and would leave the "Calendario Perpetuo" out, my judgement would be the same. ;-)
But the dial design destroys it. IMHO.
... strange ... for me.
No.1 of my personal wish list is still the 587 (getting a 6154 seems not realistic ;-)) Cheers Thomas
