About the Panerai PAM00086 - Luminor Marina automatic steel Ref. PAM086

The PAM086 represents Panerai's Luminor Marina series in a 44mm steel configuration with an anthracite dial. This reference positions itself within the brand's automatic offerings, distinguished by its dark dial treatment against the steel case construction.

The watch features a 44mm steel case housing an automatic movement. The anthracite dial provides a darker aesthetic compared to traditional black or white dial variants within the Luminor Marina range. The steel case material offers durability while maintaining the collection's characteristic proportions.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking a Panerai automatic in steel with the visual distinction of an anthracite dial. The 44mm case size aligns with contemporary Panerai sizing standards, while the automatic movement eliminates the need for manual winding. The steel construction and anthracite dial combination provides an alternative to more common dial colors within the Luminor Marina series.

Wife: "That guy is wearing a Panerai!" Me: "That guy is Scott Becker!"

This exchange happening on our honeymoon in Maui, 2003. Scott, the West coast Panerai rep, was in the same store, and we sure enjoyed a great conversation. Back then, it was not so common to see a PAM out and about (the watch variety, that is )

It’s rare to see, but I particularly like those models with the contrasting subdial👌🏽
