Dear Fellows,

I'm in the Panerai world since 2010, so i still consider myself a rookie.
I made some mistakes before to find my way, and recently i made the following conclusion:
I'm not bored of the ones i own and i still have a lot of pleasure to wear them, even if i had a tiny issue with one of them.
Until now, i experienced more good points than bad ones. Each time i strap the watch on my wrist, it draws a smile on my face (i wish it keeps going like that for the years to come)

So what could be the aspects that make us love or hate our Panerai ?
-History
-Coolness
-Unique
-Trusty
-Friendship
-Boredom
-Limited editions
-Issues
…..

I would like to know if your feelings about Panerai are more on the "thumb up" side or on the "thumb down" side ? And why ?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I think I started off going crazy on Panerai about the same time you first entered "Panerai world" For what I have felt, mostly it is positivity.. The passion on this brand by the collectors is huge.. And what I feel highly the most is the friendship.. I've met many great new friends who share the same passion. This moment for example... (Although most doesn't wear Panerai anymore) The downside is that someone would really get too much high hope of seeing Panerai making something they really wan

I do agree with you about the "high hope" we have, and the disappointment that follows each year when we discover the novelties. But i'm more disappointed by their lack of originality. It seems Panerai design their novelties with the same puzzle, they just move the position of each piece. At the end, the layout is pretty the same. Anyway, that is another story. What i like is the true link between Panerai and the Italian navy. They have the legitimacy to belong to the category of military watche

I used to know all (most) of the models and felt a strong connection. However over the last three years I have become lost with so many models. I am still and old school guy even I started late like you but I still like the base models with strong DNA like the PAM 000 and the PAM390 among many. So my original love is still there. Bill

You own some really nice ones ! Among these three, my favorite is the 372 :) Strong DNA, comfortable, and gorgeous ! Best regards Fabio

as what it used to be. Why? Because of the rising retail prices. I feel the current models are getting really expensive for what you get compared to other brands. And so, it's difficult today to find a "good" PAM with a "good" retail price. Everything has become so expensive :( But other than just the pricing issue, I absolutely love the brand. There's no other brand out there for me where I get this same "feeling" I get when I strap on a Panerai. It just feels like a second home to me on the wr

I feel the retail prices rises with other brands too. But compare to other brands, the rise is maybe more obvious with Panerai ? Strap on a Panerai is a very nice way to start the day. Without it, i feel i'm naked. Thank you for sharing your feelings. Have a nice weekend. Fabio
