Yming's exploration of the Panerai Radiomir references PAM01334 and PAM01335 sparks a vital discussion for collectors considering these models. His initial post thoughtfully raises concerns about the P.6000 movement's reliability and the longevity of Panerai's new patina steel, inviting the WatchProSite community to share their insights. This article synthesizes the collective wisdom, offering a comprehensive perspective on these contemporary Radiomir offerings.

My only thoughts were how nice to would be at 42mm. I love the style but very sparse at 47mm. Interestingly with Panerai as people seem to be abandoning the brand for several reasons I am finding more and more to like in recent offerings.
I saw the grey and liked it a lot. As for your concern about the movement, really canβt offer any expert knowledge but at the price, if you look around these days, many watches without fancy movements are in a similar range. Also, I believe Panerai is offering eight years warranty. The aged steel could change I suppose, but maybe the patina will patina into patina? π
I saw that some 40mm Radiomir are coming this year.
As far as the OPβs concern over stability of this steel, I didnβt realize something like this can patina. That would give me second thoughts even though I really like this piece.
Our complaint on PAM movement is more with the new P900 or P9000 series which has received some changes lately (or maybe almost "downgrades" one might say). I still love my Panerais and looking to add one or two more (with the P3000 in my case). Here I would go for the grey dial and not the blue. You can more easily play with stray on the grey dial and looks more classic
The grey in person was impressive but that blue does look cool in the photos π
