This watch is so hard to take in picture that there are very fe correct pictures of it.

The " Cali " is certainly one of my favorite Radiomir Wire Lugs. This dial is incredibly beautiful.

The happy owners among us are lucky!

Best,

Nicolas

About the Panerai PAM00249 - Radiomir 1936 SE Ref. PAM249

The PAM00249 represents Panerai's Radiomir 1936 SE series, a special edition reference produced from 2007 to 2012. This 47mm stainless steel model features the manual-winding P.3000 caliber and maintains the fundamental characteristics of the Radiomir collection within a limited production timeframe. This reference is notable for its 'California dial' configuration, a distinctive feature that combines Roman and Arabic numerals with baton markers, differentiating it from other Radiomir models of the period.

The watch houses a black dial within a 47mm stainless steel case topped with sapphire crystal and a smooth bezel configuration. The manual-winding P.3000 movement provides a 72-hour power reserve. Water resistance reaches 100 meters, and the watch is fitted with a leather strap. The substantial case size aligns with Panerai's sizing approach during this production period, reflecting historical Panerai designs.

This reference appeals to collectors focused on Panerai's mid-2000s special edition offerings and those seeking manual-winding complications within the Radiomir lineup. The five-year production window from 2007 to 2012 positions the PAM249 as a time-specific variant that bridges Panerai's modern manufacturing era with traditional hand-wound movement architecture, particularly valued for its 'California dial' execution.

Thanks Nico for the nice description, no idea it was so sought after (and with a much higher value than MSRP) given that they made 1936...here's mine that I'll see again in a couple weeks:-)

Something special about the 249

These photos show off the dial, lume, and hand colors well. Nice color combination and vintage look without going overboard. (Not that going overboard would be a problem β€” you’re wearing a Panerai and the Marina Militare would be there soon to rescue) πŸ˜‰
