P@trick@Belgium's original post expresses frustration over Panerai's strategy of releasing a 'de luxe' version of the PAM 372, the PAM 422, before the original model even hit the market. This discussion explores community reactions to Panerai's rapid product introductions and their potential impact on collector interest and brand perception.

I realy don't know if I have to start of laughing or crying , but my feeling is that the guys at OP are smoking a bit to much last days !!!

The 372 isn't  even out and they allready brind a sort of 'de luxe' version of it .... IMO a great way to destroy intrest in the 372 before it came out !!!

not that I don't like this model but couldn't they just have waited a year or so ???????????

About the Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Ref. PAM372

The Panerai PAM372 is a Luminor 1950 model that draws inspiration from historical Panerai designs, particularly those from the 1950s. It is distinguished by its clean, two-hand dial layout and the absence of a small seconds sub-dial, which emphasizes its vintage aesthetic. This reference was part of a series that aimed to reintroduce classic Panerai elements to a contemporary audience, focusing on simplicity and historical accuracy in its presentation. It represents a direct link to the brand's heritage, offering a less complicated display than many of its counterparts.

The watch features a 47mm polished steel case, characteristic of early Panerai models, fitted with a 3mm thick Plexiglass crystal. It houses the in-house developed manual-wind Calibre P.3000, which provides a substantial power reserve of three days. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, allowing for appreciation of its construction. The large crown guard, a signature Luminor feature, ensures water resistance and protects the winding crown.

For collectors, the PAM372 is notable for its faithful recreation of historical design cues, including the "sandwich" dial construction and the use of Plexiglass, which contributes to its vintage appeal. Its limited production run and adherence to traditional Panerai proportions make it a sought-after reference among enthusiasts who value the brand's origins. The watch appeals to those seeking a direct connection to Panerai's past without modern embellishments.

... realy !? the guys at OP should take a little step on the brakes ! how on earth are you bringing out an evolution of a model if the original even hasn't hit the streets ... at least wait till SIHH 2012 for a release like this ! anyway if it takes as long as the 372 it'll probably not show up before 2013 at the best just saying that this strategy is going to keep me away from the brand on the long term.

But I have to agree that the timing is a little bizarre with the 372 still not out yet. I read elsewhere that this was going to be a 2000 piece LE.

that will run from Oct 2011 to Jan 2012 called O'Clock, of which Panerai is the main sponsor. This piece is, probably, associated with that....a blend between design and technique....as it say on the website.. Cheers
