Nicolas (amanico) initiates a discussion on the Panerai PAM 372 and PAM 721, questioning if they represent the pinnacle of modern Panerai design. He contrasts the PAM 721 with the PAM 249 'California' and PAM 232, inviting the community to share their perspectives on what constitutes the 'summit' of contemporary Panerai.

A Luminor, a Radiomir,  two watches belonging to the historical eponymous lines.

While I have almost no doubt that the PAM 372 is THE modern Luminor to get, I have more doubts about the PAM 721. I would rather see a PAM 249 aka Radiomir " California " along with the 372. Not that the 721 is not a good watch, by far, but it moves me less than the 249, or than the 232, for example.

Anyway, the Duo is quite alluring.

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

THAT is another superb duo. It seems that you prefer the 127 to the 372. Why? Because the Fiddy is even more " monstrous "? [nt]

Really like the curves on the 1950 case

More contours and it sits flatter I believe

That ( sitting flatter ) I am not sure. [nt]

I like that combination fiddy and cali.

These three make a nice family in an affordable range.

232 on the left? That's a very good one, too. [nt]
