ArmisT initiates a compelling discussion on the Panerai PAM 587, a model widely celebrated for its historical fidelity. While acknowledging its significance within Panerai's lineage, ArmisT candidly explores his personal wrist experience and evolving preferences, particularly in comparison to other references like the PAM 995. This article delves into the nuances of collector perception, where a watch's historical accuracy meets individual wearability and aesthetic appreciation.

There is little debate about this model and it’s ‘faithfulness’ (for lack of better word) to Panerai history and DNA.  But in all honesty, the 47mm Radiomir is a bit much for me, with a much stronger affinity for the 995.  Still, in the spirit of solidarity I wanted to share this with the community.
Have a great weekend.

Thank you, Doctor.

That is sincerely high praise coming from you. Like you, I’m now partial to the 44mm models in general.

I have had my eye on the 995 for sometime now. If my 1314 didn't come up I would have had one by now. [nt]

So true! Your 1314 is amazing, no question.

Singularly elegant and rugged at the same time.

Unless it doesn't feel right on your wrist I would stick with the 587 [nt]

To be completely honest

The 47mm radiomir case (1940) doesn’t work for me like a 47mm luminor case does. I didn’t realize this before getting, and the 673 seemed redundant with my 372. So, when i go 47mm, then 372 is the go to, despite wanting to enjoy wearing 587. But you can’t force it, and 995 has since fulfilled the Radiomir void.
