The PAM197 represents Panerai's Radiomir 8 Day Power Reserve model in a 45mm configuration. This reference distinguishes itself within the Radiomir 8 Day series through its pink gold case construction paired with a black dial configuration.
The 45mm case is executed in pink gold and houses the black dial. The substantial case diameter provides the characteristic presence associated with this model series while the precious metal construction elevates the overall execution.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking a precious metal iteration within the Radiomir 8 Day lineup. The pink gold case material positions the PAM197 as a higher-tier option within the series, offering an alternative to standard steel variants for those prioritizing precious metal construction in their collection.
This may bring me back to Panerai... :) Assume the website info is incorrect since its lists both a solid and see-through back. Unless my phone browser is screwing with me...
A handsome PAM for sure, but kind of disappointing to see Panerai join the league of Rolex copycats - a club that is not as elite as the classic PAM club. Of course, I'm open to it though, because at least we now have a PAM with a "traditional" diver look, which I suppose can be considered a thing for folks like us, that generally stay away from the Rolex look.
The jury's still out on this one... nice-looking watch , just not sure it's a nice-looking PAM ...
Amagnetic = thick dial made with soft iron + dust cover in soft iron, + sensible parts of the movement made in special amagnetic alloy. That is " amagnetic ". Best, Nicolas.
Will have to see it in the metal but at first glance... it's a nice variant. Thank you. OpC
I hope you are well, Many thanks for sharing this info and pictures. What was once a military secret, a star amongst the stars, an icon and not one of the apps now appears to melting his dna and fusion. Like above 'optionc' I too say 'sadly I like it' although I would to see it because from the pictures it seems that the features are awfully flat, and I need to get the feeling that it somehow has more than the protecting device to differentiate itself from the Omega, Rolex, Blancpain etc crowd l
