Watches4ever's post captures the excitement of acquiring the Panerai Radiomir PAM 505 Composite, a new release from Basel 2012. This article details the immediate decision to purchase after a side-by-side comparison with the PAM 504, driven by the PAM 505's 45mm case, P.9000 automatic movement with date, and the rapidly growing waiting list. The post offers a first-hand account of the watch's appeal and the allure of Panerai's composite material.

Just when I was wondering what should I get myself for Christmas, dropped into HK Panerai Boutique and they presented me with the latest Composite Radiomir pair, the Pam 504 & 505. First time to see the pair side by side, 504 in 47mm with P3000 movement no date and the 505 in P9000 auto with date in 45mm case. After careful examination and recommendation from boutique manager, I decided to take home my Christmas present the Pam 505.

I never get a chance to see or purchased the 339 8 days composite so this time round, I will not gamble on the think it over process, knowing the waiting list in just 3 days is now over 3 figures long. The P9000 3 days power reserve with date is more useful to me, always prefer a watch with date, just like my Pam 498 FU II, or my manual winding Pam 424 with date.

Enjoyed my photos, taken shortly after I signed the credit card....

About the Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Days Ref. PAM339

The PAM339 represents Panerai's Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Days series, featuring the brand's composite case construction in a substantial 47mm format. This reference combines the Radiomir case profile with advanced materials and an 8-day power reserve complication.

The 47mm composite case houses the Calibre P.2002/7 movement and features a composite bezel construction. The watch is fitted with a 1.9mm sapphire crystal and offers 100-meter water resistance. The composite material provides an alternative to traditional metal cases while maintaining the distinctive Radiomir proportions.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking Panerai's technical capabilities in composite materials combined with extended power reserve functionality. The 47mm case size positions it within Panerai's larger offerings, while the composite construction distinguishes it from steel or precious metal variants within the Radiomir collection. The PAM339 serves collectors interested in the brand's material innovations and movement complications.

I can't wait when Panerai brings out a Luminor Marina 1950 in composite with P9000 with date, that will definitely one I will wait for... Got rid of my previous Radiomir but now with Pam 424 & 505, I am getting to like the style again...

Now that you've had it on the wrist, can you really take it off and wait another four weeks to wear it again? :-)

I think you should wear the watch now and only wrap the empty box and place that under the Christmas tree :) Cheers, Anthony
