Gerard (jlux) shares his excitement for his first Panerai, the Submersible PAM00683, a model he chose for its wearability on smaller wrists. His detailed photos and initial impressions highlight the watch's distinctive design elements and practical features. This article explores why the 42mm Submersible resonates with collectors who appreciate Panerai's iconic aesthetic but seek a more compact form factor.

Finally,my first Panerai has entered my collection.

Always liked the Panerai style but felt that most of their watches were wearing too big for my wrist.
Now ,with the 42mm Submersible I have found the one that fits my wrist ...and my style.

The Luminor/Submersible is one of the most recognisable watch designs ....ever.

Just like the small amount of mint blue and the practicality of the ceramic bezel.

The crown guard is of course the most distinctive design element of the watch.

Great case shape with full brushing;very comfortable to wear btw.

Automatic inhouse movement with a 3 day power reserve. I definitely favor the solid caseback for this toolish diver.

For sure one of the "coolest" watches in my collection.

Thanks for looking,
Gerard

Had a few days ago a try on a Submersible and can tell that the bezel interaction is probably the best in the business ! Better than Rolex - Omega or any diver.

Very cool indeed! One of the most distinct watch designs. This is one of the few Panerais I would be able to wear (due to its smaller size), so I must check it out "in the metall" and try it on sometime. Very nice watch indeed. And very good pics!

My first ever Panerai is the same watch with a different bezel, chosen and appreciated for all the same reasons you give!

This is a submersible I am also considering the all the good reason you highlighted. I recently saw this reference on their steel bracelet and it was amazing and unexpected. Do you have any wristshot?
