Mahesh shares his exceptional experience at the Patek Philippe Salon on Place Vendôme, highlighting the brand's commitment to customer education and hospitality, even for casual visitors. His post offers a firsthand look at several notable Patek Philippe references, capturing their unique characteristics and his personal impressions.
I must say - this is something exceptional with Patek which ever salon you visit,
they take remarkable effort and time to make you comfortable, share the history of Patek and go the extra-mile to explain you the entire collection range.
i say it 'exceptional' because - they do all of it, even when they hear it explicit from you that you JUST would like to see the watches.
in addition, i got a bunch of goodies, Patek magazines - again, just a walk-in watch nut who didn't have a Patek or don't plan to buy one in this visit either !
Thanks to Mr. Bernardo @ Paris Salon - appreciate the time.
5960G - the blue grained dial with hints of red - seriously intoxicating & youthful watch...you feel those emotions on the wrist !
personally i'm not a fan of Chronographs, but this one - keeps coming back in my mind since i saw it today.
5905p has a beautiful dial, sharing the same movement 5960G but the watch has a more 'matured' feel on the wrist & of course the heft of Pt comes with it
one thing that felt different, 42mm - may be PP target group is different ;-)
5320G - I personally like this PC than the 5327 family...may be it is just me ! On 5327 i think the sub-dials makes it a tad cluttery ?!
i feel the dial is much cleaner, has more clean space, better legibility !!

and finally...i see what i came to see....
5212A - it feels extremely light, practical and a very very functional watch it is !
I feel the opaline dial is very elegant and the dial is legible even with so many things going on the dial !!
the 'handwritten' characters on the dial - lot of fun, in a very positive way.
this is probably the Patek's watch for the 'new generation' of fans - completely detached from its earlier complications.
good week ahead all !
Best,
mahesh.,
