Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, ignites a compelling discussion by juxtaposing two horological titans: the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Quantième Perpétuel. His post challenges collectors to consider not just the technical mastery, but also the aesthetic and wearability implications of these distinct perpetual calendar interpretations. This comparison offers invaluable insights for anyone weighing the 'sporty' versus 'dressy' debate in high complications.

my pick here is JLC....🥂
I would be very happy with either one! That said, as much as I love how Reverso’s look, that case shape is never fully comfortable for me. So I would opt for the VC.
even if I'm far from liking all Reverso models and regret that so many were made along the way, pulling this collection in all directions and ultimately trivializing it. Best, Emmanuel
The Reverso would be my pick too, without a doubt. Best, Emmanuel
but they work for me only when relatively small and thin. So I think I see what you mean. That said, I know I couldn't pull off the Overseas: too big for me, even if thin.
The VC is based on a Dubois-Dupraz module on top and JLC on the bottom. The JLC is completely original and in-house. Also, the execution of the JLC QP module - the thinnest in the world at the time - is amazing since it's in a shaped case and more restricted. I also love that you don't have to see the calendar if you don't want to. -Dean
