With the eyes of the world focused on the Academy Awards celebration, Piaget once again proved to be a red carpet favorite for Hollywood's biggest night. Kicking it off was the arrival of Best Supporting Actress nominee, Janet McTeer, who stepped onto the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre, dazzling photographers and fans in 47-carats of Piaget diamonds. Nominated for playing a man in "Albert Nobbs," the British actress looked every bit the leading lady in Piaget's Diamond Light Garland earrings, handcrafted in 18-carat white gold and set with 90 brilliant-cut diamonds and 12 marquis-cut diamonds. She paired them with Piaget's Diamond Light Garland bracelet in 18-carat white gold and set with 101 brilliant-cut diamonds and 9 marquis-cut diamonds, and a matching Diamond Light Garland ring in 18-carat white gold and set with 29 brilliant-cut diamonds and 3 marquis-cut diamonds.

PIAGET SHINES AT THE ACADEMY AWARDS

Oscar nominees Janet McTeer, Demián Bichir and Gary Oldman Wear Piaget as well as actresses, Patricia Clarkson and Rachael Harris

For the ultimate accent to their tuxedos, two of Oscar's Best Actor nominees fittingly chose timepieces from Piaget's Black Tie collection. Demián Bichir, moved audiences with his performance in "A Better Life" and looked dashing all evening in a Piaget Emperador. Handcrafted in 18-carat white gold, the modified tank style watch features a unique 30 seconds retrograde counter at 12 o'clock and a date window at 6 o'clock.

And an 'Oscar micro trend' may have been started as Gary Oldman , who was nominated for his fantastic performance in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy", also chose a modified tank style from Piaget. His unique and elegant Piaget Rectangle à l'Ancienne handcrafted in white gold, also featured a 30 second retrograde counter at 12 o'clock and a date window at 6 o'clock, along with a power reserve indicator on the dial.

Also, dressed in Piaget for Oscar festivities were celebrated actresses, Patricia Clarkson and Rachael Harris. Arriving to the exclusive Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Ms. Clarkson looked radiant in Piaget's Limelight earrings in 18-carat rose gold with 160 brilliant-cut diamonds and white chalcedony, and a Piaget Possession bracelet in 18-carat rose gold with 20 brilliant-cut diamonds. Ms. Harris perfectly accented her midnight blue gown with Piaget's Rose Blue Profusion earrings, handcrafted in 18-carat white gold and set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds, 12 pear-shaped blue sapphires and featuring two roses carved in white chalcedony. She also wore Piaget's Rose Profusion ring in 18-carat white gold and set with 6 brilliant-cut diamonds, 7 pear-shaped diamonds and a bouquet of roses carved in white chalcedony.

Piaget has been a long-standing supporter of the cinema and the arts, including the Film Independent Spirit Awards, which was held in Santa Monica the day before the Oscars.
