The Gala was hosted by actors Cheyenne Jackson and Rose McGowan, and included a live auction moderated by Barneys' Simon Doonan. The highlight of the evening was an athletic themed runway show inspired by the upcoming London Olympic Games. The designs featured exclusive looks from the world's top menswear designers like Marc Jacobs, Thom Browne and Kenneth Cole, who were all in attendance. Legendary Olympic gold medalist and AIDS activist, Greg Louganis, and famed rugby player and gay rights supporter, Ben Cohen, made special appearances on the runway while sporting Piaget Polo FortyFive timepieces. Acclaimed New York glam rock band, Scissor Sisters, closed out the evening with a rousing performance that got everyone on their feet.

Larry Boland , President of Piaget North America, and a Chair for the evening's festivities, hosted Blondie lead singer, Debbie Harry, and TV personality and author, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, at Piaget's tables. Bensimon accessorized her sleek black gown with Piaget Rose motif earrings in 18-carat white gold set with 206 brilliant-cut diamonds, a Piaget Rose ring in 18-carat white gold set with 107 brilliant-cut diamonds and a Piaget Limelight timepiece in 18-carat white gold set with a total of 256 brilliant, square and triangle-cut diamonds on a black satin strap.

2012 marks the third year of Piaget's partnership with amfAR and its valuable fundraising efforts for HIV/AIDS research programs. The company will continue its support with two more Inspiration Galas to be held in Paris on June 28th and Los Angeles in the Fall. To date, this series has raised over $4 million.
