April 18th, 2013 - The 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on April 13 (Saturday) at the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Twenty-one awards were presented in recognition of the outstanding contribution that talented film-makers had made to the film industry. True to the brand’s spirit in the cause of the art, Piaget, the renowned Swiss watchmaker and jeweller, has long been an avid supporter of the film and arts industry, by actively participating in various international arts, movie galas and events over the years. Spurred on by this passion for the world of cinema and art, Piaget continues to support the Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony, one of the most prominent events of the year for the film industry in the region, thus becoming the major sponsor of the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony.

Piaget, together with these brightest stars, glamorized the red carpet at this prominent event.

With the theme of “A Tribute to Films”, this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards paid homage to film rolls, which might have receded into the background of the new era of movie production characterized by a progressive transition from film production to digital one, yet remain the forerunner of movie production and enjoy unparalleled significance to the movie industry. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award went to seasoned film-maker Ng See Yuen in recognition and honor of his continued contribution to the film industry. Two film developing maestros, Calmen Lui and Ko Tin Chow, on the other hand, racked up the Professional Achievement Award for their steadfast commitment to developing films for decades. Renowned artist Eric Tsang joined Ronald Cheng, Gordon Lam and Jerry Lamb on stage as the masters of ceremony to celebrate a night of honor and entertainment, which came to a grand finale following the presentation of all awards.

As the major sponsor of the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony, Piaget once again teamed up with the Hong Kong Film Awards Association to pay tribute to those talented individuals in the film industry.

Gracing the evening were honorees and guests from the industry. Piaget helped many of them shine a little brighter by dressing them in its latest and glamorous watch and jewellery creations. The winner of Best Actress, Miriam Yeung, the winners of Best Director, Longman Leung and Sunny Luk, the winner of Best Supporting Actor, Ronald Cheng and wife Sammie Yu, the winner of Best Supporting Actress, Dada Chan, Best Actor nominee Sean Lau Ching Wan and wife Amy Kwok, Best Director nominees Dante Lam Chiu Yin, Lo Chi Leung and Soi Cheang, Best Supporting Actress nominees Elaine Jin, Jiang Yiyan and Susan Shaw and Best New Performer nominees Zhang Lanxin and Joyce Feng, were among the glitteratis who turned to Piaget to add a little sparkle to their attire. Also dressed in Piaget were presenters Siwon Choi, Gigi Leung, Janice Man and Janet Ma. As regards the best-dressed man and woman down the walk of fame, esteemed model Janet Ma was invited to be served as the jury. Sammi Cheng won the best-dressed award in a stunning and elegant lace gown, while Lau Ching Wang won the award for the second consecutive year in a classic black tuxedo and both of them received a jewellery from Piaget.
