Jester's 2009 post captures the vibrant spirit of a PuristS gathering in Hong Kong, highlighting the community's enduring camaraderie despite logistical challenges. This event, intentionally scaled differently from previous years, underscores the importance of shared passion over sheer quantity of watches. Jester's photo essay provides a window into the atmosphere, the culinary experience, and, of course, the horological highlights that define these cherished community events.
As SOMEONE so eloquently put it: PuristS have to be a shining beacon of Hope....perpetually.
So be it. Admittedly the quanty of pieces that turns up this year was not comparable to last year, intentionally so:
The PuristS spirit was definitely there, if only stronger! The gathering really didn't come together easy as more than half of the partcipants literally flew back to Hong Kong hours before the events and a few more failed the attempts ended up spending hours at the airport!
Anyway, off we go.
Again, huge thanks to Anna for the wonderful arrangement and to DarylT for the photography!

The watches, finally...

No wonder one of the residents from here was there Thanks Alec, Anna & DarylIT. Kong
What made this year even more special was that it wasn't a leap year. Enjoyed very much the extra day that our pepetuals had to advance through. Until next year!
So, one of us finally put his hands on the 5970P, which seems to be an unique piece? Impressive, indeed! A great selection of watches, too. Thanks for the share, my friend. Best, Nicolas
Good food, friends, and phenomenal watches. What more could you need? Thanks for sharing the photos with us! Cheers, Daos
