In Oct this year - Oct 14, 15 in country, so at least 13 -16 should be blocked, longer if joining side excursion to Macau or Shanghai too...

Ling, I don't know about Macau or Shanghai , which are mentioned as possible side-trips in the announcement. For the MAIN PuristS on Tour destination, nationals of the following countries are eligible for the visa exemption program , which permits a duration of stay up to 90 days : Andorra, Australia (Effective from January 1, 2015 for one year) , Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Is

Northeast Asia is debatable as well. East Asia would probably be the 'safest' terms. I guess I probably dropped enough hints by now!
