ChristianDK's heartfelt F.P. Friday post serves as a poignant dedication to a cherished member of the WatchProSite community, Horology75, whose recent passing left a significant void. This article honors Horology75's profound impact as a long-standing F.P. Journe collector and contributor, celebrating his legacy through the watches he loved and the memories shared by fellow enthusiasts. ChristianDK invites the community to join in a collective tribute, reflecting on the enduring connections forged within the world of horology.

And even if it will be a work weekend for me I always love Fridays. Today I enjoy the easiness of the Elegante.

On a more heavy note this week started with bad news regarding one of our longstanding members on the F.P. Journe forum. I am, of course, talking about the passing of our dear friend Horology75. If you didn’t see it, here is a link to the original post  www.watchprosite.com

Horology75 as we know him, was a regular contributor and long time F.P. Journe collector from way before the brand became popular. He had some amazing watches in his collection. He was always kind and I have Always treasured his many contributions here. He was fanatical about all things horological with a  broad and a deep knowledge and a first class taste.

I will miss his posts dearly and he certainly leaves a hole in the forum.

I would like to dedicate this F.P. Friday in his honor.  I have taken the liberty to post a couple of his Journe watches below. I hope everyone will join in by posting a wrist shot.

Rest in peace Horology 75. We miss you already.

Christian

About the F.P. Journe Élégante Ref. elegante

The F.P. Journe Élégante represents the brand's entry into electro-mechanical timekeeping, distinguished by its hybrid movement technology within the Élégante series. This reference marks a departure from traditional mechanical movements in the F.P. Journe collection.

The 40mm titanium case houses the caliber 1210 electro-mechanical movement, paired with a silver dial and fixed bezel. Construction features include sapphire crystal and a rubber strap, with water resistance rated to 30 meters. The titanium case material provides a lightweight alternative to traditional precious metal constructions.

This reference appeals to collectors interested in F.P. Journe's exploration of alternative movement technologies beyond purely mechanical calibers. The electro-mechanical movement and titanium construction position this piece as a distinct offering within the brand's portfolio, catering to those seeking contemporary technical approaches in independent watchmaking. Production commenced in 2014.

How very sweet of you. This week I attended two funerals and it’s a reminder that life is precious. I did not know Horology75 myself but from what others say he was a very kind man. May he rest in peace.

Two funerals in one week is just too much. Horology75 was much too young to pass. I feel so sorry for his family. There is no guarantee for us so we better make the best of life. Have a wonderful weekend dearest friend.

His sudden passing has impacted me significantly, especially as I’m reminded of this every time I log into the forum. His absence does indeed lead a big void on the forum, especially as he was recently sharing a series of posts showcasing his impressive pieces. And his FPJ pieces, exactly as you showed, underscore the strength of his collection. Thank you 🙏🏽
