Geo's acquisition of the Ressence Type 2, a watch that captivated him since its 2018 introduction, offers a unique perspective on modern independent watchmaking. If there's one watch that has intrigued me since its introduction at the SIHH / Geneva in 2018, it is the Ressence Type 2.

At that time the Type 2 was not fully working yet, and when it was, about a year later, I was not ready yet.

But I am glad that the watch is now on my wrist, for two months and I absolutely love the way it works, the way it feels and looks.

I said it before and I say it again, a titanium case can easily become an addiction.

Any Ressence with their clean minimalistic dials is a huge contrast compared with the classic watches that I usually wear,

and that's also part of the attraction.

I used to have a strong passion for Urwerk but I feel they have stagnated as of late so I have shift a lot towards Ressence. Hopefully they do not rest on their laurels. Wear it in the best of synchronized health.
