SJX provides an exclusive look into the grand opening of Richard Mille's boutique at Singapore's iconic Marina Bay Sands. On Monday, after the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, Richard Mille opened his boutique at the Marina Bay Sands casino and resort with Felipe Massa as the guest of honour. The place was packed with collectors - I have never seen so many Richard Mille watches in one place before. Some extremely rare RM pieces were on various wrists that night, including the RM009 and a Perini Navi set with diamonds.
After the opening of the store, guests were invited upstairs to Ku De Ta, a bar on the sky park on the 57th floor atop Marina Bay Sands which naturally offers a spectacular view of the city.

This reference was produced from 2005 to 2012, establishing its position as part of Richard Mille's numbered series lineup during the brand's formative years.
The RM009 features a 39mm titanium case fitted with sapphire crystal and offers 50 meters of water resistance. The manual-winding RM009 caliber provides a 70-hour power reserve, displayed through a skeletonized dial construction. The watch is completed with a rubber strap.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking Richard Mille's interpretation of the tourbillon complication in a titanium construction. The seven-year production run and specific caliber designation make the RM009 a defined entry point into the brand's tourbillon offerings from this period. Mille, Massa and their entourage arrived late, but fortunately the waiting guests were lubricated with lots of champagne. Massa then had to brave the phalanx of photographers and fans. The ribbon was cut, more photos taken and then everyone left for Ku De Ta. - SJX
The boutique is a long and narrow store, decorated in the traditional Richard Mille style. Notably interesting are these framed, three-dimensional watches made of paper.

I wish I was there. The venue is amazing! We need someone like you in HK SJX. RM was here last week & entertained local clients as well as many other watchmakers, independants & all, who make HK & Singapore their priority stopover.It's a shame these events are not covered and posted for the viewing pleasure of members.
