Descartes1 shares a striking image of a Rolex display case at Rome Airport, revealing 54 empty slots and only 7 watches for sale. This visual prompts a robust community discussion on Rolex's market strategy, AD relationships, and the broader implications of scarcity in the luxury watch industry.

How is Rolex not embarrassed by this?
can't blame them everybody is buying them, right?
...and a large handwritten notice on the front saying” Come on- don’t miss out - last few left” No imagination these salespeople. Regards Kev.
I wonder how long before ADs start shrinking their Rolex floor/case space. It looks silly to have sales people stand around over large empty showcases. Empty cases do not drive foot traffic to a retailer and are wasted "real estate." If Rolex won't keep it occupied, someone other brand would be happy to fill the void. And ADs will be happy to let them.
