We  are almost at the door step of Baselworld 2014 and what can we expect to discover new from Rolex in 2014.  Will the trend of bigger is better continue or with the trend be a return to tradition.  Will there be some new innovations in materials or will fashion be the driving force.  What would you like to see presented this year. Can we expect too see any reissues and if so what would get your vote.

All ideas are welcome.

So looking back at how Rolex presented in 2013.

A blend of technological innovation and sophisticated aesthetics, these new Rolex models, all COSC-certified chronometers for their precision, are the latest versions of legendary watches evolving in a constant quest for perfection.

A new 40mm case SD...

I would love to see

A SS Daytona with a black bezel. And **NO** PCLs!!! That would be great to see. I think that is a possibility sometime in the next 5-10 yrs, though I think PCLs are here to stay. I agree that a 40mm SD would be great to see, but I just don't think it is going to happen. I would also love to see a NCG sub, though I guess Tudor just did that. Honestly, the more I think about the current line up, the more I realize any future purchase will be exclusively in the vintage realm. And the more I think T

Domes crystal - taht is an interesting thought

Bring back the feeling of the old days. I just hope they don't go down the path of the fake vintage / hommage style. But I am sure with Rolex keeping the classic lines will alsways be there. Yes please a SS Daytona up to date would be nice in all its glory. Bill

I hope the general direction is to return to basics

I am still a big fan of the 40mm case which has worked for so long. Bill

Rolex Daytona SS with ceramic bezel

I would love to see Rolex put out a white and black dial Daytona with a ceramic bezel!

That could be fun. With a nice vintage lookind dial, or clealrly inspired from the past.

But I don't see Rolex playing the " Retro " Card... Best, Nicolas
