Foversta recounts a serendipitous acquisition of his Rolex Daytona, initially intending to purchase the black dial but ultimately choosing the white dial version after a direct comparison. His post offers a personal perspective on the decision-making process between two highly sought-after ceramic Daytonas, highlighting how wrist presence and contrast influenced his final choice.

This Daytona has a funny story. My intention was to buy the black dial version. My AD called me: the watch is ready. I came to the boutique, I got the box, I opened it and I found... the white dial inside!

Well... so I said: it is nice but I was expecting the black dial one! But hopefully the black was also available. So I spent ten minutes with the two watches trying to find the best on my wrist... And then I took the decision: white dial. Why? Because it looks larger on my wrist and the contrast makes it in the end more appealing to me.

Well, here come several pictures of this very well known watch.

And two generations of Daytona!

I will enjoy it a lot!

I like both the white and black dialed ceramic Daytonas, though I think I would prefer the white dialed version.
