A promise is due,
So here I go.
We know the Daytona, loved by purists and dismissed by detractors, we know the animated discussions, posts keyed, decision-heads, rates "justified" because "not found".
We know the pre-Daytona, the Newman, the panda, the chronograph-Yachtmaster, the Dayto special series for the World Cup football in England in 1966 graduated with his counters on 45 minutes to measure the half, the Albino the Big Red, the Ferrari, the Compax Brown, the Sigma dial, the dial cream, the Patrizzi, the floating, the porcelain dial, .....
In short, I could go on but I will shorten your suffering: mrgreen:
Well, not yet.
Rolex is a foundation that rewards companies for each year of their actions.
But there are also rewards for the "young winners", we saw such a social activist who designed an inexpensive strategy for building with recycled materials houses for the rural poor of Paraguay, a Scottish physicist inventor a revolutionary method to predict volcanic eruptions using a remote controlled helicopter, a Jordanian chemist strives to save the ancient archaeological site of Petra

Hadi Al Hikmani is a winner

His project is to protect a species of feline in its region, the "Leopard of Oman".
Today I will not talk of big cat, I confine myself to his gift, given by Khimji Ramdas AD in Oman

A full set OUR 116,520, all that is more normal, well, almost ....

This watch is not so common, its particularity is not displayed on the dial as is usually seen with Oman series, I think it's very discreet, only the owner of the beautiful knows his secret, a may in the manner of a Comex no logo, last if we do not see the valve (Michel, if you read mewink)
I welcome your feedback, comments and complements information.
I thank enormously Nico of Rilogi who is the owner of the beautiful, for allowing me the "shooter" (I've done what I could)

About the Rolex Rolex Submariner Date Ref. 1680

The Rolex Submariner reference 1680 is notable as the first Submariner model to feature a date complication, marking a significant evolution for the line. Introduced in the late 1960s, it bridged the gap between the earlier no-date Submariners and later iterations, offering enhanced functionality while retaining the robust characteristics of the professional tool watch. This reference is distinguished by its single cyclops date magnifier on the crystal, a feature that would become a hallmark of many subsequent Rolex models.

This reference typically features a 40mm steel case, housing the self-winding Caliber 1575 movement. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The crystal is acrylic, commonly referred to as Plexiglas, contributing to its vintage aesthetic. Water resistance for the 1680 is rated at 200 meters, consistent with its design as a reliable underwater instrument.

For collectors, the reference 1680 is highly sought after, particularly early examples with "Red Submariner" dials where the word "Submariner" is printed in red. These variants represent a distinct period in Rolex's production history and are prized for their rarity and aesthetic appeal. The 1680 appeals to those who appreciate the blend of historical significance, functional design, and the tangible qualities of vintage Rolex manufacturing.

As I said above...

..... there are 5 winners per year. And, Oman has a one year of which we speak. We can therefore assume that this Dayto is a unique piece. Correct me if I'm wrong, I do not pretend to hold the truth.
