Champthekid, known as Steve, shares an intimate look into his extensive Rolex Daytona collection, showcasing its evolution over the years. His post provides a rare glimpse into the collecting journey of a dedicated enthusiast, highlighting the passion behind curating a single-model collection. This retrospective offers valuable context for both seasoned collectors and those new to the world of luxury timepieces.

I went through my pictures and thought I’d share some from the past and present.

Above is my avatar picture. The most I’ve ever had at one time was fourteen as seen in this picture. I took some of them in a trade for a PAM 203 with vintage Angelus movement which I bought from Italy AD and kept for four days 😀.

Above is a shot of the state of my Daytona collection from around 2016 or so.

Above is fairly current now minus the Zenith version.

Above the champagne dial is no longer with me.

The above picture is just a fun shot with some firearms. Please don’t be offended anti-firearms folks. It’s just a fun shot.

Some pens 😀

Finally, some dials I’ve collected over the years. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Regards,
Steve

About the Panerai PAM00203 - Luminor 1950 8-Day Angelus Ref. PAM203

The PAM00203 represents Panerai's Luminor 1950 8-Day Angelus within the brand's steel-cased offerings. This reference carries the distinctive 8-Day Angelus designation that sets it apart from standard Luminor 1950 models in the catalog.

The watch features a 47mm steel case paired with a black dial. The substantial case diameter places this reference among Panerai's larger offerings, maintaining the proportions typical of the Luminor 1950 series architecture.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking a sizeable steel Panerai with the specific 8-Day Angelus configuration. The 47mm case size and black dial combination provides a straightforward execution within the Luminor 1950 range, suitable for those prioritizing the technical aspects of the 8-Day designation over precious metal construction.

Are those Rolex branded pens produced by Rolex? I haven’t seen such nice pens from them before.

They are not official Rolex. They were artisan made. I’ve probably had them for 20 years. I couldn’t even tell you where I picked them up because I don’t remember. Lol.
