ZSHSZ's acquisition of the Rolex Deepsea Challenge marks a significant moment for collectors, offering a firsthand account of owning one of Rolex's most technically ambitious timepieces. His initial impressions provide invaluable insights into the wearability and presence of this monumental watch, challenging preconceived notions about its size and weight. This article delves into ZSHSZ's experience and the community's reactions, highlighting why this reference is a horological milestone.

So Iโ€™m relaxing g at home, phone rings...
AD: What are you doing?
Me: Nothing, why?
AD: Can you come in?
Me: Why not!๐Ÿ˜‰
So here it is, my new Deep Sea Challenge!๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Initial thoughts:
Everything you read is true, itโ€™s big, itโ€™s thick no doubt about it, when I first grabbed it I was scared but the weight is way lighter than I expected, the Titanium makes a huge difference!

On my wrist, it wears at the limit without overhanging however it has a big presence which is totally to be expected from this model, after all is not a watch for the dinner table at a nice restaurant...
The watch is tall, it wonโ€™t fit under any shirt or jacket, but a sporty outfit will makes it at home, the only part that I have to get used to but the curved crystal and bezel makes it less noticeable.

In my opinion if properly sized itโ€™s very comfortable to wear.
The reason why I decided to pull the trigger is mostly for the technical achievements that weโ€™re all familiar, and as a Rolex collector I wanted to add this milestone piece to my watch box.
Personally Iโ€™m very happy to have this watch in my collection so thanks to my AD, for the allocation!
Thank you all for looking, Happy New Year to al my friends here!
Cheers. ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Despite its huge size it looks actually really correct on your wrist, and as you say, would be totally fine with a sporty outfit ! Thank you for sharing this new piece of your collection !

illustrates just how much 'meat' surrounds the movement to provide the insane depth rating - quite the engineering feat +++

For a Rolex collector that is a watch to be added. Each Rolex has a place of its own In the collection. Enjoy wearing it.

you are adequately burly ๐Ÿ˜‚ I gather it isnโ€™t in the updated Rolex price list for 2023 that was leaked online. Maybe itโ€™ll be very limited piece indeed ๐Ÿค”
