I’m going to hate on Rolex here for a minute, so be forewarned Rolex fans…..How many incremental changes can you make to sell basically the same thing again and again. I suppose changing a crown is a bold move in their world.
Great looking watch which simply makes sense. The shift to previous metals enabling even higher margins is somewhat of a new direction by Rolex. It makes sense - the market will probably easily absorb the supply at higher price point. AP, PP etc have been doing the same, but with Rolex it is different for obvious reasons.
So it is either a beauty or otherwise / because of it collectable, and sought after in the future… 🤪😉
It's a fine, less showy watch than all the soda inspired others. I could care less about Rolex and their choices but I can't help but shake my head when people feel personal "disappointment" when a company (any company) doesn't make what the collector would have personally designed. This is the perfect excuse to enjoy what we already have!
What bothers me is that it's got a nickname already, Bruce Wayne? I really dislike all these nicknames.
I can understand certain Daytona having the 'Newman' association, but a 'Smurf' and 'Hulk' Submariner... c'mon
