Here are some more views. As you can see it’s a fairly thin profile, and the side of the case and links are polished, which adds some nice subtle bling.
I guess I should have said perfect modern explorer. The vintage ones you’ve shown us lately are quite special.
I think they made a trick of the eye adjustment by increasing the size of the bezel. It pushes all the elements to the center to create a compact look that’s similar to the 36. But not enough to part with my 39. It has its own quirky charm
