read about this Batman or Bruiser here a lot but didn't expect to get it.

This is the first time I saw this watch in the showcase. Like a curse, I thought, "just another Rolex, they look similar blah blah" but when I put it on and examine closely in metal, it is very attractive and love the bezel. Rolex really did a good job.

Got the blessing of my "boss" and I'm the proud owner of a popular watch here.

Today's shopping was a dangerous one but we managed to not loose our minds, only get this GMT smile

I will take the plastic off after this, no worries, this will be a beater too.

Happy holidays to all.

My boss love this one, matches her Chopard ring.

Still have these older Lange 1s available in RG

And in Platinum

Older model of Saxonia Dual Time, very smooth button operation but didn't speak to me.

Same for this guy, hard to accept the retrograde day-date.

Interesting Tourbillon by Corum but I am staying away from this brand.

This looks good in titanium

About the Rolex Rolex 116710 BLNR Ref. 116710

The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 116710BLNR, known by collectors as the "Batman," introduced a novel blue and black ceramic bezel to the GMT-Master II lineup. This was the first time Rolex combined two distinct colors on a single monobloc Cerachrom bezel, a significant technical achievement. The blue segment represents daylight hours, while the black segment denotes nighttime, aiding in tracking a second or third time zone.

This reference features a 40mm Oystersteel case, housing the automatic Caliber 3186 movement, which provides a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date display and is water-resistant to 100 meters. The black dial provides a contrasting backdrop for the Chromalight hour markers and hands.

Appealing to collectors interested in modern Rolex innovations and practical travel watches, the 116710BLNR quickly became a highly sought-after model. Its distinctive bezel color combination set it apart from previous GMT-Master II references and established a new aesthetic within the collection, preceding subsequent iterations with similar two-tone ceramic bezels.

Congratulations on your new addition!

Looks good on you and should make for a hardy beater if you decide to use it that way Out of curiosity - you said you\'re staying away from Corum. I remember you having a split second chrono from them that you like a lot. What is now making you more reserved towards the brand?

Thank you! Yes I have the one Corum and I like it but it's not growing...imo.

Plus, I'm not those who collects the same brand, similar models or style like a theme player, haha. I like diversity and prefers varieties. Going forward, I'm only focusing on 4 brands, PP, ALS, Rolex and Omega. Some day, I think I will add some iconic JLC, too (if Nico is reading this Rgds Raymond
