Subexplorer continues his 'GMT Love' series by showcasing another cherished Rolex GMT-Master from his collection, acquired in early 2013. He highlights its gilt-gloss dial and faded bezel, discussing his preference for Oyster bracelets but acknowledging the Jubilee's comfort and aesthetic appeal on vintage GMTs. His post invites fellow collectors to appreciate the nuances of these iconic timepieces.

Hi friends!

As promised in my previous post, I´m sharing some photographs of another example of GMT in my collection.

This one was catched at beginning of year 2013, but somehow I had never taken pictures of it.

It is marked II-65 in its case back, and I keep it with a Jubilee bracelet for a change. I am not very fond of Jubilee bracelets, though I must recognize they are very comfortable to wear. I usually prefer Oyster bracelets in my vintage Rolex, but I feel that the Jubilee looks very nice in old GMT´s.

The dial of this example -gilt-gloss- is in very nice condition and adds to the charm of this watch. The bezel is nicely faded, but I´m looking for another bezel with the blue sector faded almost to silver-gray.

Hope you´ll like this one too!

Best cordial regards, Abel.

... a nice caramel dial GMT and a minty dialed four lines 5512 would complete my Rolex theme... I guess! Best cordial regards Bill! Cheers from Buenos Aires!

I much prefer the Oyster. But this specimen is top, too. You also have the 6542, don't you? ;) Best, Nicolas
