Dear Purists,

as I'm new in this forum, let me just share with you why I love the GMT I'm wearing - I know that oceans of words have already been spent on every GMT Master and I don't want to be redundant on saying it's perfect as a sport watch and can be worn with a suit too.

When I was 22, I didn't know a lot about watches, just enough to undestrand the difference between a self-winding watch and a manual-winding one. I was just starting to become passionate about fine watches and therefore I was not very familiar with concepts such as dual time-zone, tourbillion, moonphase etc...

To get to the point, this timepiece was a gift for my degree from my father who lived in a +6 hours time-zone from mine, and I just loved the fact the from the second hour-hand I could read his time zone!

I liked the sub (too much as a tool for me) and the milgauss too, but the GMT feature made me think "this is the perfect watch for me", and the meaning behind this gift really had no price....

It was a gift from your father for a special event which implies sweet memories, you can use it to think about him and itโ€™s a nice reliable and practical timepiece. What do you want more? I just hope youโ€™ll keep it for many many more years. Best wishes Alkiro

Flavio, Welcome to PuristS! Congratualtions on a major milestone in life. You have three good reasons to be pleased about that watch: Gift from your father: a Heart reason. Useful time zone check function: a Brain reason. Features are "perfect" for you; a Soul reason. A trifecta for you.... Regards, MTF

You are completely right, it has such an affective value and I will never get rid of it, also, I know it was kind of โ€œobviousโ€ choice as first fine watch but I do remember how much I liked it and still do Cheers F
