Because it is a GMT MASTER, because it has a mateorite dial which makes sense to me ( link to the sky, plane... ), and because it is totally original, uncommon.

My interrogation was about white gold. Wouldn't it be too heavy? 

At first, yes, you feel it weights like a dead donkey, but after a while, you get used to it. 

Definitely on the top of my wish list.

Not within my price realm but certainly fun to think about. Seems like Rolex only does meteorite dials on precious metal watches. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in steel.

Of course the execution is great, and the heft of the white gold very pleasant. But I would take the blue dial over the meteorite.
