In this insightful post, forum member 'One day just one watch' shares a personal milestone, celebrating his fiftieth birthday with a significant acquisition: a Rolex Sky-Dweller. His journey to this special timepiece underscores the often-unpredictable nature of luxury watch collecting, revealing how an open mind can lead to an unexpected and deeply satisfying choice. This article explores his experience and the community's perspectives on dial preferences and the importance of in-person viewing.

This week I will be celebrating my fiftieth birthday and I asked my AD for a special watch, the Skydweller with the blue dial. Today I got the call. But there was one ‘but’, because the one with the blue dial was impossible for me to get. They only get a few Skydwellers every shipment and I am not an A-list client. But would I be interested to see it with another dial? Well, why not? And when I arrived in the shop and put this one on I was totally taken aback by this configuration, I absolutely love it! And it will stay with me as the special watch I gave myself for my fiftieth birthday!

I think white dials are underrated and am sure you will like this one. On this particular model, I find the hands on the white dial to have better legibility under different reflection of light compared to the blue dial. Wear it in good health!

than the SS Blue dial. Most better contrast and the yellow accents on the dial are incredible.

The blue dial sky dweller is certainly a great choice. The champagne dial is better and more timeless. Both sky dwellers are good collectable peaces. Your trui is matching your birthday present. For a B-list client you have bought the sky dweller which i think they treaded you as an A-list client. The next Rolex or an other luxury watch is not difficult to chose this AD again. Let me Guess? You was at Schaap and Citroen? I saw they sell my wanted Baume and Mercier Clifton with moon phase complic
