I’ve got serious issues with the clasp width. I like the watch head, the thinner lugs, the new Kermit bezel and the wider bracelet. But, having lived with the watch for a week I’m not convinced by the clasp width - any thoughts my friends?

PS sorry for the poor photos!

About the Rolex Submariner Date Ref. 16610LV

The Submariner Date reference 16610LV, often recognized by its distinctive green bezel, was introduced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner line. This particular reference stands out from the standard Submariner Date models due to its unique colorway, offering a different aesthetic while retaining the core design principles of the collection. It represents a specific period in the Submariner's evolution, bridging classic design with a celebratory touch.

This reference features a 40mm Oyster case crafted from 904L stainless steel, paired with a matching Oyster bracelet. It is equipped with the self-winding Rolex Caliber 3135, a movement known for its precision and reliability, offering a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, and its construction ensures a water resistance rating suitable for its intended use.

For collectors, the 16610LV holds particular appeal due to its limited production run and unique bezel color, distinguishing it from other Submariner Date references. It is a notable variant within the Submariner family, offering a distinct visual identity while maintaining the robust engineering associated with the model. Its place in the lineup is marked by its anniversary significance and its departure from the traditional black bezel.

Clasp comfort is affected a lot by shape of the wrist as well, which varies person to person. As well as where the bones in your wrist jut out, and let’s not forget arm hair. If you can wear it a tad looser, that might help. I’d hate to tell you to go get a rubber B or Erica for a watch that already comes with a nice bracelet. My SD4000 clasp is big “ long” to me. It is comfy, but I had to get use to it and I don’t think it could’ve been any longer.

TT 2020 Submariner it’s my first Sub. It fits my wrist fine but I can understand how the length of the clasp might bother someone due to their wrist size.

Or by the way, we just received this and it’s your lucky day! Your AD said Jokes aside but if your wrist can carry that heavyweight Platona, I’m not sure what else your wrist cannot handle...we’re not looking at clasp most of the time.

and 41mm feels more like a bracelet on the underside, which is cool to me, the top side is INFINITELY better than the maxi case 40mm: absolute PERFECT PROPORTIONS. cleaner dial and lugs. total WIN
