In a testament to the enduring appeal of classic horology, doubleup shares the culmination of a patient pursuit: acquiring a highly coveted Rolex Submariner. His journey highlights the value of building rapport with an authorized dealer, a strategy often discussed within the collector community. This article captures the excitement of a significant new addition and the collective appreciation for a timepiece widely considered a cornerstone of any serious collection.

After a long wait, I just picked this up yesterday from my AD.  I took the advise from many of you here and over the past couple years I periodically dropped in from time to time to talk shop and develop a rapport with my local Rolex AD.  I received the call over the weekend that apparently there were two people ahead of me, but one was out of the country and the other had picked up another piece while waiting for this Sub. So far this is the nicest watch I have ever had and I am very happy.  Nothing to say that has not been said on this one, just wanted to share with you all. Apologies for the poor quality pics.

This could [simultaneously] be your โ€˜entryโ€™ watch and your โ€˜exitโ€™ watch. That is how good it is

Do you mind saying how long you waited?

milestone! Beginning, or end of a long line of tick tocks, it matters not. This is a very fine timepiece that will not fail you. Well played! FH
