TeutonicCarFan's post captures the essence of the Rolex Submariner as a daily companion, even amidst post-holiday chores. His reflection on its 'trusty workhorse' nature sparks a broader conversation about the enduring appeal of robust tool watches and the considerations collectors weigh when contemplating new acquisitions for their wrist.

I’m just cutting up boxes trying to figure out what to do with all this cardboard. Trusty workhorse, like a comfy pair of jeans. I do think for 2025 I will add another bracelet piece, maybe white speedy or Ti ingenuir?

A real workhorse of a watch. Glad to own an older model of a Sub. Merry Christmas Buddy. Cheers. Geross.

I have switched all my focus to bracelet pieces. More versatile and casual especially when I live in sweats when I’m not working.

I called 5 boutique today no one had one! One had the version with leather strap but I want bracelet. They were willing to put a bracelet on it, however, I have seen pictures online showing the bracelet clasp has a darker coloration on the β€œlines”. The OB salesman had no idea what I was talking about so I felt inclined to wait. I may just buy one on c24 as they have a bunch at retail it seems.
