In a recent post, author 'One day just one watch' shared a common collector's dilemma: an impulse purchase that didn't quite fit the original intent. This article explores the community's perspective on the Rolex Two-Tone Daytona, specifically addressing its versatility and whether it transcends traditional gendered watch classifications. The discussion highlights how personal preference ultimately dictates a watch's place in a collection.

My last post was about shrinking my collection. And then this happened. I was visiting an AD which I hadn’t visited in a long time and asked them if they would have anything nice with steel gold for my wife. They had an Explorer I in steel gold available. But when I saw it I hesitated because my wife prefers men’s size watches. And then they said they had something else: a Two Tone Daytona with a white dial!!! Okay, not as special as a steel one but nevertheless a Daytona. So on the spot I decided to buy it. At home I showed it to my wife but quess what? She didn’t want it. She doesn’t like the yellowgold. So what to do? Wear it myself? I kinda like it myself. Love to hear your ideas. Is this or isn’t this a ladies watch…?

Yea or Nay

same as a Sub on a women, looks lovely, but dosn't mean its lady's watch. the Daytona is a great unisex watch.

It can work for women who wear both white and yellow gold jewelry.
