Mahesh's recent hands-on experience with a modern Rolex challenges his preconceptions about case design, prompting a discussion on the brand's enduring commitment to wrist comfort. His post invites collectors to consider how Rolex's engineering priorities manifest in wearability, even as aesthetic preferences for vintage references persist. This exploration delves into the often-overlooked aspect of ergonomic design in luxury watchmaking.

Always seeing the pics I thought the new case design of Rolex is not as elegant as the four or five digit references (which I still think is true).

But recently I tried one & realized, what ever the case size is, one can’t challenge Rolex on the attention given to the comfort level on the wrist, the fit & feel….

What is your take ?

Best,
Mahesh.,

I'm with you, they're perfectly engineered for actual use. Watches that are purposeful, accurate and reliable.
