Gerard, known as jlux on WatchProSite, shares his renewed appreciation for the Rolex Yacht-Master, specifically the steel and platinum reference with a rhodium dial. His post delves into the watch's comfort, understated elegance, and unique material combination, offering a personal perspective on why this model stands out in the Rolex lineup. This article explores jlux's insights and the community's reactions to this often-understated Rolex reference.

Always liked the Yachtmaster and had already a two-tone version in my collection about 20 years ago.
Eventually sold that one but I never forgot how well this watch performed on my wrist.

Now after all this time a new Yachtmaster is back in the collection.

It is the steel/platinum version with the grey rhodium dial that I picked up from my AD just 3 days prior to the latest price increases from the beginning of this year (very fair behaviour from the AD ! ).

The watch is very comfortable due to the slim profile and the soft edged case.

The combination of steel/platinum with the grey dial makes for an understated cool elegance. And I just adore these small blue accents!

The platinum bezel is so much more special than those made out of ceramic.

All in all a real pleasure to wear and perhaps the most versatile Rolex.

Thanks for looking,
Gerard
