Dr.kol shares a glimpse into his idyllic farm life on Saaremaa island, Estonia, offering a refreshing contrast to the usual horological discussions. His post highlights the simple pleasures of nature and the satisfaction of restoring an old farmhouse, all while sporting a fittingly easy-going watch. This thread explores the balance between a demanding professional life and a serene personal retreat.

On the shore we have thousands of geese, hundreds of swans and a huge number of mallards and other ducks. In the evenings we can see red stags walking around and the roe deer sleep on the fields. The music in the evenings is created by the wild boars added with birds as lesser instruments. The capital of Saaremaa island is 30 minutes away. A beautiful medieval small town. Like said, life is good (till the rain comes) Best, Kari
You have your own slice of heaven. M4
.....lovely photos and a great watch & strap. Just looked up Saaremaa. Wow, what a place. What are the conditions like in the depths of winter? Best, John.
But who cares! Our winter home is in Lapland, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. There is enough snow. Today still 50 cm even the daylight hours are 22/24. Best Kari
Lapland sounds amazing. Best, John.
Spring is nature's renewal and it reminds us again to see nature in her renewed beauty. And it seems you have many views of beauty where you live. Wonderful!
